The Explorer Post travels to great mountain ranges outside the Northwest each summer to provide students with a remote mountaineering adventure.  Post members learn a wide range of mountaineering skills, as well as the essentials of self-reliance, leadership, group cooperation and wilderness living skills.  The Post has travelled to the Purcell Range of British Columbia, The B.C. Coast Range, Alaska and New Zealand.
