Leading On Rock is Right Around the Corner!

Leading on rock is a course designed to teach students how to advance their rock climbing skills by placing their own protection, and putting up the rope for other climbers. Even better, students learn how to lead in a safe, controlled manner and by the end of the course they will be certified to lead climbs on their own. This is a serious course which consists of 2 classroom sessions( Feb 27th, and March 1st) emphasizing the safety and procedures to leading. After these sessions there are 2 climbing sessions outside (March 3rd and 4th). This course is serious but it will still be a lot of fun!

*sign ups for this years course have already happened but if you are interested make sure to get your name on the list next year*

Carwash Fundraiser Report

By Grant Phillips:

I have been to all the Post carwashes and I have liked them all but this one was by far the best. I woke up and walked down the street to the gas station where we would wash cars casually dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. The first rays of the sun felt good on my skin and slightly alleviated my vitamin D deficiency. At the station, the seven of us who came prepared a sign and Will W. and I quickly began advertising the fundraiser at the street corner. Meanwhile some water fights broke out but they quickly settled down once customers arrived. We continued a little past twelve and decided to retire after we had collected our money. Overall the hot sun made this fundraiser not only successful but enjoyable.
