Each year the post goes on an awesome, wacky, and overall super fun adventure in the snow on Mt. Hood. This is the only trip all year that every postie goes on, so it is also a great way to get to know your fellow posties and make new and awesome friends. This year the trip will be taking place over Presidents day weekend leaving from 19th and Lovejoy in the morning of the 15th and getting back midday on the 16th (a Sunday and Monday). This trip is looking to be a lot of fun, involving snow caves, snowball fights, a warm lodge, a mountain climb, and the world famous snowshoe Olympics. More info about this awesome trip will be coming out soon, but be sure to mark your calendars!
The post is planing a fun day in the show on Mt. Hood on Sunday, December 14th. The plan is to leave from the parking lot at 19th and Lovejoy in Northwest Portland at 7am. We will go up to the mountain and play bonding games (snowball fights, ice sculpting, etc.), snowshoeing, possibly XC skiing (if people have skis), eating lunch, probably ice caves (if people want) and then while we’re eating/at some point we’ll be learning cool info about mountaineering, wilderness first aid, etc. Details are still coming out about this trip, but you can contact Iris Ellenberg (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more info.
